In the Pokémon anime Pokémon Journeys: The Series, Ash Ketchum even recently caught a Gengar. Gengar is probably one of the most popular ghost types, appearing in every single Pokémon generation. The Gengar pillow is an odd product made even sillier by the images demonstrating its use, but that doesn't mean it's the only appeal. RELATED: Limited Run Reveals Physical Versions of Scott Pilgrim vs. Even if this Gengar is a little on the short side, its tongue makes up for it by being able to extend out to an impressive 170 centimeters. Based on the hilarious promotional images, the pillow will be large enough for someone to comfortably fit their entire head inside Gengar's mouth. Lick paralyzes its target, so people shouldn't try and get a Gengar's tongue anywhere near their actual bodies - unless it's with this pillow.Īccording to the website Poké, it looks as though the Gengar pillow will be smaller than the Pokémon it's based on, standing at 48 centimeters compared to a Gengar's normal 1.5-meter height. Gengar is known to steal people's souls and/or body temperature ( depending on the Pokédex entry) and is also an infamous user of the move Lick. If that sounds somewhat dangerous due to the Pokémon's tendency to curse humans and steal their body heat, then there are also images showing the product model wrapping themself up in the tongue. The Internet quickly fell in love with the Gengar pillow, specifically due to the promotional art that shows a well-dressed product model resting their head inside of the Gengar's mouth and laying on the plushie's extendable tongue. The Gengar pillow sold out within 30 minutes of the preorder listing becoming available, according to the Twitter account Pokéshopper.
